মেসেঞ্জারে আসা যে কোন ধরনের লিংকে ভালোভাবে যাচাই না করে ক্লিক করা ঠিক নয়। মানুষের কৌতূহলকে কাজে লাগিয়ে সর্বনাশ করে ফেলতে পারে সাইবার দুর্বৃত্তরা। যাঁরা মেসেঞ্জারে আসা লিংক নিয়ে বেশি কৌতূহলী, তাঁরা এর শিকার হতে পারেন। সম্প্রতি ফেসবুক ব্যবহারকারীদের মেসেঞ্জারে আসা ও এই প্ল্যাটফর্মে ছড়ানো একটি স্ক্যাম বা প্রতারণার লিংক সম্পর্কে সচেতন করেছে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের কেন্দ্রীয় গোয়েন্দা সংস্থা এফবিআই। তারা বলেছে, ফেসবুকে ব্যাংক লেনদেন-সংক্রান্ত তথ্য হাতিয়ে নেওয়ার একটি ফাঁদ পেতেছে দুর্বৃত্তরা। ফেসবুকের সর্বশেষ স্ক্যাম এটি।
‘লুক হু জাস্ট ডাইড’ নামে পরিচিত এই স্কেম । কেউ মারা গেছে, তাকে চেনেন কি না, এমন বার্তা দিয়ে একটি লিংক পাঠানো হচ্ছে মেসেঞ্জারে। পরিচিত কারও অ্যাকাউন্ট হ্যাক করে সাইবার দুর্বৃত্তরা এ ধরনের বার্তা পাঠায় আর তাতে ক্লিক করে দেখতে গেলে ফেসবুকে লগইন করতে বলে। যদি কেউ লগইন করে সাথে সাথে ফেসবুক অ্যাকাউন্টের নিয়ন্ত্রণ চলে যায় সাইবার দুর্বৃত্তদের হাতে। তারা তখন ওই অ্যাকাউন্ট থেকে পরিচিতজনের কাছে নানা প্রতারণা করে অর্থ হাতিয়ে নিতে পারে।
ফেসবুক, ই-মেইল বা অন্য কোনো মাধ্যমেও ছড়াতে পারে এই স্ক্যাম । এ লিংককে বিশ্বাসযোগ্য করার জন্য দুর্বৃত্তদের পক্ষ থেকে বিভিন্ন ধরনের বার্তাও দেওয়া হয়। তাই মেসেঞ্জারে কোনো লিংকে মৃত্যুর খবর দেখতে বললে তা ক্লিক করার আগে ভালো ভাবে পর্যলোচনা করে দেখতে হবে।
অনেক সময় এ ধরনের লিংকে ক্লিক করা হলে কম্পিউটারে স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে ম্যালওয়্যার বা ক্ষতিকর প্রোগ্রাম ডাউনলোড হয়ে যায় । আর এতে ছবি, পাসওয়ার্ডসহ ব্যক্তিগত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য চলে যেতে পারে তাদের হতে ।এমতাবস্থায় বিশেষজ্ঞরা সতর্ক করে বলেছেন, মেসেঞ্জারে স্ক্যামটি ছড়ালেও এটি টেক্সট বা ই-মেইল আকারেও আসতে পারে। এ ক্ষেত্রে কোনো লিংককে সন্দেহ হলে তা ক্লিক করা থেকে বিরত থাকতে হবে। কোনো পরিচিতের কাছ থেকে এ ধরনের বার্তা এলে তাঁর সঙ্গে কথা বলে বিষয়টি জেনে নেওয়া ভালো। এতে এর পেছনে কোনো হ্যাকার আছে কি না, তা নিশ্চিত হওয়া যাবে।
এফবিআইয়ের সতর্কবার্তায় বলা হয়েছে, ম্যালওয়্যার ছড়ানোর কাজে জড়িত দুর্বৃত্তরা এখন আরও বেশি কৌশলী হয়েছে উঠেছে । তাই ক্লিক করে কোনো কিছু ডাউনলোড করার আগে সতর্ক থাকতে হবে। এ ছাড়া সফটওয়্যার হালনাগাদ রাখতে হবে, অ্যান্টিভাইরাস ব্যবহার করতে হবে। যাঁরা গুগল ক্রোম ব্যবহার করেন, এতে থাকা ম্যালওয়্যার শনাক্তকারী সেবাটি সেটিংস মেনু থেকে ঠিক করে দিতে পারেন। কারও অ্যাকাউন্ট হ্যাক হয়েছে বলে সন্দেহ হলে দ্রুত পাসওয়ার্ড বদলে ফেলতে হবে ।
